How much is shipping?
Shipping costs will be calculated and collected closer to fulfillment. We will offer international shipping, but please be aware as with all internationally shipped products, there may be additional customs costs or taxes. Please consider any additional potential local costs as part of your purchase price for affordability.

If I backed FujoGuide on Kickstarter can I combine shipping?
Although our FujoGuide-related merchandise is not quite ready for fulfillment yet, if you’d like to get your add-on Fujoboard with your fulfillment for this campaign, we’ll be happy to do that!

How can I help promote this project beyond socials?
Thank you for helping us broaden our network! Expanding our reach beyond the direct fandom public is an important aspect to eventually achieve sustainability, and every little bit helps.
Here’s some suggestions for people to share with: - Friends who feel sad about the current state of the web (who doesn’t?) - Coding or technology groups you’re a part of - Any group interested in enabling more queer, kinky, neurodivergent and disabled folks to shape the web of the future - Groups dedicated to other online subcultures you’re a part of (furries, for example) - Workplace ERG groups or mailing lists dedicated to any of the groups listed above.
To help you reach out we’ve created a sharing packet (below ⬇️). Feel free to use the messages as they are, or take inspiration from our wording. A few added words on why the project matters to you can be very helpful!

Why another crowdfunding campaign?
When we launched our Kickstarter for “The Fujoshi Guide to Web Development” there was so much we didn’t know: would we meet our goal? Would people enthusiastically embrace our ideas for better technical education for fannish folks? What would the guide mean for the future of our projects?
When the campaign proved itself successful, we spent a lot of time exploring the type of organization we wanted to be. After months of research and deliberation, the idea for FujoCoded LLC was born.
As part of this process, we also discovered that the legal demands for such a global and collaborative enterprise are more complicated than they might first appear. While we were able to make progress thanks to the help of pro-bono lawyers (like those from The Sustainable Economies Law Center) and our founder investing her personal finances, we decided that we could make quicker and more deliberate progress by asking again for help from our supporters.

How will this campaign impact the delivery of FujoGuide?
We don’t expect this campaign to significantly impact the delivery of FujoGuide, which we continue to make progress on. Even further, we expect this campaign to speed it up by giving us more flexible and timely access to necessary legal advice, as well as the ability to delegate unrelated work (like setting up our stores) to hired contractors, easing the burdens on our founder and project lead.
The money raised for the previous Kickstarter will remain separate from this campaign, and remain dedicated exclusively to delivering volume 0 of “The Fujoshi Guide to Web Development”.
Updates on our progress for FujoGuide are on its Kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/essential-randomness/the-fujoshi-guide-to-web-development/posts.

Why fujoshi, anyway?
Although we work to make the web a better place for everyone, we chose the fujin community (the often queer, kinky, neurodivergent, and disabled id of the internet) as our main focus and titular ambassadors. Since the start, we’ve closely aligned our work with the transformational fandom and shipping communities. Now, as we form our official organization, we decided make our connection to the fujin community explicit.
You can read more in depth about fujoshi and our decision to officially align ourselves with fujin on our website: https://fujocoded.com/fujoshi.

I also backed the Kickstarter campaign for the Fujoshi Guide to Web Development, can I get those items together with this shipment?
Unfortunately it’s not possible to combine items from the two campaigns.

Can I get a refund on my order?
If you would like to cancel your pledge, we will refund your paid pledge amount - 15% transaction costs and fees (to cover BackerKit and Stripe fees) + shipping costs, up to $150 in total refunds. For example, if you have pledged $15, with $5.95 shipping, your refund for a cancellation would be: $15 - $2.25 + $5.95 = $18.70. Your cancellation request must be received prior to shipping. Once items are shipped, we will be unable to cancel any pledges or offer refunds.

I pledged at a tier that includes physical items, but I don't want to receive any! I just want to give money!
To not receive physical items (and avoid shipping costs), you can switch pledge level to a lower one. Any level at $15 and below won’t result in anything mailed to you.
Once you switch to a lower level, you will be given you credits to use for add ons. If you don’t use the credits, we’ll still receive the full amount!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
